White Pass & Yukon Route

Approximately 4.5 hour trip from Fraser B.C. to Skagway AK..

Board the historic White Pass and Yukon Route narrow-gauge railroad in Skagway, Alaska. Ride in a vintage parlor car through some of the most rugged terrain over White Pass to Fraser, B.C.  Daily Departures at 8 am from Skagway.  Daily departures at 1:30 from Whitehorse

Whitehorse Beez Kneez Hostel  867-456-2333.  Centrally located hostel.  Dona and Trevor are excellent hosts!  If you want a comfortable, clean hostel with a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place! Open year round.

 The 'Hide on Jeckell' Guesthouse is a small hostel in downtown Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada. While larger hostels can sometimes be a little impersonal, staying in this guesthouse is like visiting your friends.      

Dawson City Taxi    PO Box 632, Dawson City, Yukon Y0B 1G0.  (867) 993-6688 fax: (867) 993-6688.  Connection between Whitehorse and Dawson City (327 miles).    Summer 2001 they left daily each way.  One-Way fare was $75 (Canadian).  Also from Dawson to Inuvik from June to September.  In 2001 they departed Dawson Monday and Friday and returned on Wednesday and Sunday with two stops - one at Eagle Plains and one at Fort McPherson.  Tickets one way were $216.45 one way Canadian.
